When you sign in, Klassekart may store information linked to your account so you can use the service over time:

Class name, the students in the class, where they sit in the classroom, impressions and notes about students, and history of seating charts.

Without signing in, the seating chart is stored only locally in your browser. Student names and placements are not sent to our servers.

We do not store school names, school IDs, or other information that links students to which school they attend. There is no way in Klassekart to identify which school the students belong to.

We also do not store the content of downloaded seating charts on the server. A download happens on your device.

When you are signed in and use “From impressions”, saved matches, student impressions and notes are used to suggest seating. A local calculation always runs in the app. If an AI service is available, anonymized information may be sent to a language model via Vercel AI Gateway to improve the suggestion — only after you start generation. Student names are not sent. Students are represented with temporary aliases (e.g. p1, p2), and known names in free text are replaced before sending.

Signed-in information is stored on a server in the Nordics. Data is only stored when you are logged in.

We store the information as safely as possible, with access limited to what is needed for the service to work.

We log how many people download the seating chart in the application. This is anonymous usage statistics to understand whether the feature is used — not who downloaded, and not which students or placements were on the chart.

You are safe to ask for your data to be deleted. Email monica@klassekart.no and we will help you.
